Mechanical Engineer – Nuclear Design
Contract‑to‑Hire | Fully Remote (ET or CT)
Pay: $43.27–$60.10/hr
Overview
We’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer with proven nuclear design experience to help modernize U.S. nuclear power plants—working on safety‑critical systems for a globally recognized energy leader known for scale, innovation, and stability.
Nuclear design experience is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical design and analysis for nuclear power plant systems
Define performance specifications aligned with nuclear codes and regulations
Conduct engineering studies, modeling, and evaluations
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and plant stakeholders
Provide technical guidance on designs, methods, and deliverables
Required Qualifications
Proven experience designing in the nuclear industry (required)
BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET‑accredited)
4–12 years of mechanical engineering experience
Proficiency with AutoCAD
Working knowledge of nuclear codes, standards, and QA requirements
Preferred
Experience with utility Engineering Change Control (ECC)
Familiarity with Nuclear Quality Assurance standards
Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $60.10/hr.
