Job Description:

The Chemist will join the Research and Development team and contribute to the development and evaluation of chemical technologies, working under general supervision. The successful candidate will safely support laboratory experiments, generate reliable data, and document results.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare experimental materials such as substrates, chemical solutions, and analytical standards
• Characterize raw materials, intermediates, and finished products
• Prepare test samples and perform physical/analytical testing
• Conduct bench-scale evaluations and compile results for scientists/engineers
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
• Maintain electronic lab notebooks (ELN) and follow data-integrity practices, including data entry and plotting of results
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Perform sample labeling and general laboratory housekeeping

Qualifications:

Required

• BS (or higher) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; 02 years of laboratory experience
• Ability to meet physical requirements (standing, lifting up to 40 lbs)
• Ability to conduct work safely in a laboratory environment
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Able to follow written procedures and work independently with guidance to meet deadlines
• General knowledge of laboratory practices, safe chemical and glassware handling, syringe use, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office applications
