ALG is actively recruiting for skilled CNC Operators to run CNC machinery used to produce custom millwork components. The ideal candidate has experience working with wood-based materials and can read shop drawings or blueprints accurately, this is a 1st shift opportunity, Monday - Friday 6am-2:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines to cut materials such as particle board, MDF, plywood, and solid surface materials.
- Set up machines, load programs, and verify correct specifications before production.
- Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Perform basic machine maintenance (cleaning, lubrication).
- Work with team members to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during machining.
- Assist other departments as needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical training is a plus.
At least 3 years of CNC machine operating experience.
Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
Experience with woodworking materials (MDF, plywood, particle board, etc.).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to use measuring tools accurately.
Ability to lift/move:
- 10 lbs regularly
- 25 lbs frequently
- 50 lbs occasionally
