St. Luke's Health System Part-time Patient (Lactation) Educator RN- Nampa in Nampa, Idaho

St. Luke’s Health System is seeking a part-time Patient (Lactation) Educator RN to join our Nampa Medical Center!

What You Can Expect:

The Patient (lactation) Educator is responsible for providing educational material and individualized education to patients and will be able to assist staff in providing an optimum quality of nursing care for the breastfeeding family.

The Nampa Mother Baby unit and Level 2 NICU provide compassionate care for infants and their families following birth. As a Level 2 NICU, the Nampa unit supports babies born prematurely or those who require specialized monitoring and intervention. The team is equipped to manage moderate prematurity, feeding challenges, and respiratory support needs, offering advanced care for infants who do not require complex surgical services.

  • Teaches and provides support to patients based on the specific needs and learning ability of the patient.

  • Coordinate the patient education with other disciplines as it relates to the program specialty.

  • Review and update patient teaching materials related to the program specialty.

  • May Assist patients with developing skills they need to manage their disease through behavior modification.

  • Provides comprehensive education to clients who have self-selected the learning opportunity.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's of Nursing Degree

  • Experience: 1+ years

  • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN License in the State of Practice

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross
