TRIDENT SEAFOODS CORPORATION FACILITIES OPERATOR III in Naknek, Alaska
Key Responsibilities:
- Uses hand tools to perform basic adjustments and maintenance to equipment under the supervision of a senior operator.
- Monitors various operation indicators to such as fuel or material levels and auger speeds to ensure equipment is operating properly.
- Performs or supervises startup and shut down of equipment in assigned area as appropriate.
- Performs basic adjustments and maintenance independently as directed by a supervisor or senior operator.
- Lubricates and cleans parts, equipment, and machinery.
- Collects, logs, and maintains information and data as needed to meet Trident and regulatory standards.
- Observes mechanical devices in operation to detect and locate issues.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Maintains a working knowledge of company, industry and regulatory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), codes and standards.
- Works with Supervisor or plant management to schedule repairs and projects.
- May supervise a smaller facility or department operation.
- Conducts tests as needed to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provides data and reports to management as requested to update on facility operations and issues.
- Participates in, contributes to, and provides support during regulatory audits as needed.
- Conducts audits and inspections of facility performance and activities.
- Ensures proper and timely completion of corrective actions as a result of audits and inspections.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Acquires knowledge of Tridents Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a current Trident Seafoods employee or have worked for Trident Seafoods before
- 6 years experience in Facilities Operations or similar experience.
- Has developed secondary skill sets such as welding, plumbing, basic electrical troubleshooting or specialized equipment repair, service and rebuild.
- HS Diploma or equivalent (or degree, etc.)
- HAZWOPER Certification (if not current, training will be provided by Trident)
- OSHA 10 Hour Certification (if not current, training will be provided by Trident)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry specific experience
- Supervision or other experience
- Training or certification in the following preferred:
- Pumping Stations - Pumps, Motors and Electrical Systems
- Heat Exchangers: Operation of Shell and Tube Types
- Heat Exchangers: Cooling Towers
- Evaporation Unit Operations
- Auxiliary Vessels
- Centrifuge Operations
- Filtration and Screening Unit Operations
- Material Handling of Bulk Liquids
- Portable and Emergency Equipment
- Dryers
