Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Casing & Crating Transformer Assembler - 1st Shift.
The hours for this role are 6am - 2:30pm
The hourly rate for this position is $19.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:
Job Summary
Responsible for performing the final assembly operations of electricity transformers according to prescribed standard methods and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform tasks across various work centers, including: Tank-up, casing, small parts, vacuum chamber, cover bander, palletizing, and final assembly.
• Attach and install critical component parts and sub-assemblies to transformer tanks (e.g., leads, bushings, brackets, fuses, switches, nameplates, arrestors, labels, stencils, bands, etc.).
• Anchor core/coil assemblies into tanks, ensuring precision and quality.
• Execute various hand assembly, fitting, and adjusting operations with meticulous attention to detail.
• Retrieve, assemble, and securely attach covers, maintaining consistent standards.
• Conduct temperature checks, install and inspect components, initiate and troubleshoot leak checks, repair leaking units, and perform fluid checks to ensure proper oil use.
• Load, operate, and unload the vacuum system efficiently.
• Use small power hand tools as required, demonstrating proficiency and safety awareness.
• Follow written communications, including operating instructions (VOP), BOM lists, production schedules, and WSRA.
• Expertly rework nonconforming parts and products to meet quality standards.
• Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.
• Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization.
• Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.
• Adhere to safety protocols, ensures efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures.
• Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Years and area of experience required
• 1 year of Relevant experience preferred.
Technical knowledge
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions as required.
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and using both hands to lift and lower materials, with or without accommodations.
