SGI Global LLC is seeking a fluent Spanish-spe aking Tactical Training Advisor to su pport the Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) in Mexico City, Mexico, which requires professional and administrative support services to work with the U.S. Foreign Assistance Program to Mexico

Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizen.

  • Spanish language proficiency at FSI level 3.

  • English language proficiency at FSI level 4.

  • Bachelor's degree, or associate degree with 10 years' experience as defined below.

  • Minimum ten (10) years combined experience in military special operations and/or law enforcement specializing in Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) or equivalent tactical teams, with at least five (5) years' experience directly involved in delivering specialized tactical training to Latin American (Mexico preferred) military/law enforcement partners with at least five (5) years directly involved in delivering specialized tactical training.

  • Eligible for and able to maintain a Department of State MRPT security clearance.

  • Proven ability to engage and advise senior U.S. and foreign government officials in high-pressure environments.

  • Demonstrated experience in preparing operational reports and after-action reviews.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite for mission planning and documentation.

    Duties:

  • Based in Mexico City, Mexico, with frequent travel to operational sites as permitted by Mission travel police and in in coordination with the Regional Security Office, often for extended periods of time and likely in austere conditions. Must be able and willing to lodge on Mexican law enforcement and military bases when required (in accordance with Mission Travel Policy and in coordination with the Regional Security Office). Travel to the United States and other countries will also likely be required.

  • Serve as the tactical training subject matter expert for INL and Mexican government officials on special operations tactics, primarily related to Mexican law enforcement units.

  • Design, coordinate, and deliver advanced tactical training to Mexican law enforcement and special operations units, focusing on best practices for clandestine lab raids, high value target apprehension, VIP protection, and tactical operational planning under hostile conditions.

  • Develop operational plans to enhance Mexican government capacity to utilize specialized tactics during special operations.

  • Advise and assist Mexican officials in the development of operational plans utilizing special operations tactics.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned, consistent with tactical training and operational support requirements for INL.
