Lead Structured Cabling Technician
Location: Myrtle Beach, SC

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Structured Cabling Technician to oversee and perform structured cabling installations for commercial projects. This role is hands-on and leadership-focused, responsible for leading technicians on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise structured cabling crews on job sites
Install, terminate, test, and certify copper and fiber cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, fiber optic)
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
Plan daily tasks, assign work, and monitor job progress
Perform troubleshooting, testing, labeling, and documentation of cabling systems
Ensure compliance with ANSI/TIA/EIA, BICSI, and local building codes
Maintain quality control and enforce safety procedures
Coordinate with project managers, customers, and other trades
Train and mentor junior technicians
Maintain tools, materials, and company vehicles as required
Required Qualifications
2+ years of structured cabling installation experience
Prior experience leading or supervising cabling crews
Strong knowledge of copper and fiber infrastructure systems
Ability to terminate, test, and certify cabling to industry standards
Ability to read blueprints and low-voltage drawings
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in ceiling spaces
Reliable, organized, and professional with strong communication skills

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Myrtle Beach, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
