Your Day-to-Day
Support month-end and year-end closing activities; ensure all closing procedures are completed.
Verify and approve seller payment requests, and monitor bounced payments. Maintain a tracker of rejections.
Verify bank top-ups by sellers and approve via the transactional control (TC) process.
Prepare seller payment bank reconciliations, and post related transactions (e.g. bank charges) in the ERP system.
Prepare trade creditor aging reports; assist in clearing long outstanding items.
Manually create purchase transactions and car repairs expense entries in ERP.
Assist with stock take at month end where needed.
Support audit and tax queries by preparing required schedules and documents.
Perform other accounting / finance tasks as assigned by leadership.
Your Know-How Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field.
Experience: 1 year working in accounts payable or related accounting function.
Technical skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Basic computer literacy and ability to pick up ERP navigation quickly
Accounting knowledge:
• Basic understanding of accounting treatment, journals, accruals, etc.
• Familiarity with standard accounts payable processes and controls
