BIOFIRE DEFENSE Project Scheduler/Analyst in MURRAY, Utah
Position Summary
This full-time position is responsible for creating and maintaining schedules for contracts, projects, and other efforts within the organization. Reporting directly to the EVMS/Contract Accounting Manager, this role is central to maintaining an accurate multi-project integrated master schedules (IMS), aligning resource planning with organizational capacity, and supporting high-level and strategic decision-making related to staffing and task/project timing. This role will work closely with project accounting, project management, and subject matter experts from other departments to develop project schedules, which requires the ability to communicate effectively, respectfully, and professionally with peers and management from other departments. This position may also assist with proposals, project accounting, contract admin, and financial analyses.
The Project Scheduler/Analyst plays a key role in integrating project and task-level data with company-wide financial forecasting and workforce planning. This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of project operations, finance, and human capital planning.
Key Responsibilities Build and maintain integrated project schedules across departments, ensuring tasks, dependencies, timelines, and forecasts are regularly updated and accurate. Collaborate with project managers and functional leads to capture task status, progress, estimated hours for completion, and update the schedule accordingly.
- Provide schedule-driven inputs to support company-wide budgeting, strategic planning, and financial forecasting efforts.
- Develop, maintain and analyze resource allocation across current and potential projects (proposals), identifying areas of under- or over-capacity.
- Generate resource demand forecasts and highlight anticipated gaps to inform workforce and hiring plans in coordination with HR.
- Conduct timeline and resource variance analyses between actual, forecast, and baseline schedules.
- Deliver data insights to leadership to support decisions on project timing, staffing, and proposal feasibility.
- Use analysis findings to continuously improve scheduling accuracy and optimize resource utilization across project cycles.
Ensure version control and documentation of all assumptions, changes, and key schedule drivers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities across dynamic timelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to partner with technical teams, HR, and senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in project scheduling, resource planning, or project controls, preferably in a cross-functional organization. Knowledge or experience in federal contracting is a plus.
- Knowledge of Government Contracting, FAR, or Earned Value Management (EVM) is a plus.
