Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated (Senior) Associate to join our Venture Capital arm in Munich, Germany (remote work possible). As a key member of our investment team, you will play a crucial role in identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities in technology startups.
Conducting comprehensive due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including financial analysis, market research, and competitive landscape assessment, supported by junior team members/ interns
Deal execution on a global level, including legal documentation, funding coordination, and closing
Building and maintaining financial models to support investment decisions and portfolio company valuations
Providing strategic insights to senior investment management and contributing to investment thesis development
Sharing knowledge to junior team members, contributing to their professional growth
Playing a key role in shaping the firm's investment strategy and thesis
Supporting portfolio companies post-investment, including strategic guidance and being involved in selected supervisory or advisory boards as board observer (when possible)
Cultivating relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and other investors to source new opportunities and gather market intelligence
Qualifications
Several years of experience in Venture Capital (transaction experience required) or alternatively in private equity or investment banking
Strong experience in due diligence processes, deal sourcing and financial modeling
Experience with portfolio management and strategic guidance
In-depth knowledge of technology and innovation ecosystems
Proven track record of successful investments or deal execution
Strong project management and multitasking abilities
Fluent English language skills (written and spoken)
German language skills desirable
Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts
