This role is focused on mechatronic actuation systems as a key part of modern robotics and automation machinery.
Key job responsibilities
As a Principal TPM in the Amazon Robotics team, you empathize with our customers, and identify and formulate the problems we will solve. You work backwards from our customers to create a compelling product vision and a product strategy to solve complex business problems. You own the product roadmap and prioritize features to ensure your MVPs quickly add value for our customers. You are responsible for managing the lifecycle of your products and work independently with engineers, scientists, and other stakeholders on defining, building, and delivering the right products. Your product requirements are concise, with clear, measurable success criteria. You are an effective negotiator, make smart trade-offs without sacrificing quality, and drive appropriate schedules. You use data to influence our business strategy and technical priorities, and escalate when necessary, without damaging relationships. You keep all your stakeholders up to date on your products, upcoming capabilities, and future plans. You independently represent your products and the team, and are comfortable communicating with executives as well as with business and technical stakeholders.
A day in the life
Your primary focus will be to guide the team, providing technical expertise to navigate to our mutual target. As a TPM, you will represent the Actuation Group on both a technical and organizational level. Alongside the leadership team, you will determine, execute, and input into the Actuation Strategy ensuring that the group delivers what the higher-level robot owners need.
You will be responsible for managing key technical inputs, implementing timelines, mitigating risks, and using your technical judgement to deliver high-quality Robotics products on time with the right feature sets.
About the team
The Actuation Group has designed, build, and validated electro-mechanical actuation systems in the field of lightweight robotics for years. The team has recently joined a newly founded robotics program within Amazon to feature this program with its speed-boat mentality to bring innovative actuation systems to life at scale.

- Experience in technical product or program management

- Demonstrated understanding of core Robotics related technologies, able to weigh the pros and cons of technology choices and propose relevant options.
