Senior Area Sales Manager

Job Summary

The Senior Area Sales Manager will work to achieve ambitious sales targets and expand market share within a designated geographical area. This role requires a strategic thinker and a strong understanding of the healthcare industry.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned area.

  • Identify and cultivate strong relationships with key customers, including hospitals, clinics, healthcare professionals, and distributors.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

  • Manage the sales pipeline, forecast sales, and accurately report on sales performance to senior management.

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, as well as relevant healthcare regulations.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to optimize sales efforts and customer satisfaction.

  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to maximize sales efficiency and profitability.

  • Conduct regular field visits to support sales efforts, attending OTs and gather market insights.

  • Negotiate and close complex sales agreements, ensuring favorable terms for the company.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive sales experience in the healthcare or medical device industry

  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong understanding of the Indian healthcare market, including regulatory environment and distribution channels.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned area.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
