Your role and responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and technically adept Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of complex, large-scale cybersecurity initiatives. In this role, you will not only manage project lifecycles but also provide operational oversight to a multi-tiered technical team comprising L3/SMEs, L2, and L1 engineers.

You will serve as the critical bridge between high-level business objectives and ground-level technical implementation. Your dual expertise in Project Management and hands-on knowledge of modern security stacks (including Palo Alto, Prisma Cloud, and Zscaler) will ensure our security posture is both robust and efficiently managed.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Program & Project Management
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale cybersecurity projects on time and within budget.

  • Define project scopes, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

  • Manage the full project lifecycle using IBM project management tool.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating to leadership when necessary.

  • Track and report on project performance using KPIs and metrics (e.g., burn rate, velocity, milestone completion).

  1. Team Leadership & Technical Oversight
  • Manage a diverse team structure consisting of L1 (Tier 1 Support), L2 (Analysts/Engineers), and L3/SMEs (Subject Matter Experts).

  • Act as the "Overwatch" for the team, ensuring that L3/SMEs are effectively guiding L1/L2 on complex technical escalations.

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to upskill junior team members on advanced technologies.

  • Conduct resource planning and workload balancing to ensure 24/7 operational coverage (if applicable) without burnout.

  1. Technical Stewardship
  • Leverage your deep technical expertise to validate solution architectures and troubleshoot bottlenecks related to the security stack.

  • Oversee the configuration, management, and optimization of:

  • SIEM/SOAR: Palo Alto XSIAM, XSOAR, XDR

  • Data Security: Trellix DLP, Guardium DAM

  • Cloud & Network Security: Prisma Cloud, Zscaler Decoy

  • Application Security: DAST/SAST tools, Vulnerability Assessment (VA) platforms

  • Governance: GRC practices and compliance frameworks

  • Review vulnerability scan results (VA) and penetration test reports (DAST/SAST) to ensure remediation plans are on track.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Experience: 10+ years of overall IT experience, with a minimum of 12 years specifically in Cybersecurity.

  • Project Management: Proven track record managing large-scale security projects.

  • Technical Depth: Must possess hands-on or architectural-level knowledge of the specified technologies:

  • Palo Alto Networks: XSIAM, XDR, XSOAR

  • Data Protection: Trellix DLP, IBM Guardium DAM.

  • Cloud & Deception: Prisma Cloud, Zscaler Deception (Decoy).

  • AppSec & Vuln Mgmt: DAST/SAST tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Sonar Qube, Fortify), Vulnerability Assessment tools (e.g., Qualys, Tenable).

  • GRC: Strong understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).

  • Certification CISSP, CISM or PMP.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile CSM certification is mandatory.

  • Experience working in Large MSSP (Managed Security Service Provider) environments.

  • Experience with ITIL framework for managing L1/L2/L3/SME support tiers.
