What we’re looking for:
Provide synthesis and manufacturing support for IVL India.
Support and grow the key business segments such as Home & Personal Care, Oilfield, Lubricating, Agrochemicals, Coating by technical support & product recommendations.
Provide innovative product lines as per customer/business requirements to support future product portfolio.
Responsibility
Safety
o Operate lab & technical service activities fully compliance with Huntsman’s EH&S policy and strive for continuous improvement in safety performance.
Delivery of R&D project
o Synthesis, process development/optimization and scale up of new products related to all the business segments.
o Investigate customer needs and develop in-depth understanding of industry technologies development trend, work closely with global/regional synthesis team to develop new products and new technology to meet market needs.
o Testing/analyzing the developed or benchmark products inhouse or by identifying the suitable testing capabilities.
o Operating and periodic maintenance of laboratory equipment such as GC-MS, FT-IR etc.
o Periodic reporting of experimental results with key stakeholders
o Managing Tolling Activity for new product introduction
Technical support for regional business development
o Support the ISC commercial/Sales by product recommendation, technical support and also through customer visits.
o Work closely with Application Scientists, understanding the customer requirements and develop the equivalent products as per technical specifications
o Support plant activities by resolving the technical queries related to manufacturing and through tolling activity.
Required Knowledge/Skills:
Strong knowledge of organic chemistry with relevant knowledge in surfactant synthesis.
Strong knowledge of new product development and clear understanding of each stage of product life cycle (concept to commercialization)
Ability to self-manage work programs under general direction from line manager and communicate widely and efficiently within the team.
Ability to have good interface with customers for problem solving and explore new opportunities through lab project.
Ability to work as part of a high-energy team with members of diverse backgrounds.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of the organization as a member of the technical and commercial team.
Required Experience:
8 - 10 years of experience in Organic Chemistry, other chemical-related fields.
Required Education:
M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry
