Job Title: Sr. Business Process Architect / Solution Architect ( Kinaxis )
Brief Introduction
The Kinaxis Maestro Solution Architect will be the technical visionary and bridge between global supply chain, IT, and regional business teams. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of Kinaxis Maestro (and related RapidResponse solutions) across multiple geographies, ensuring our Demand, Supply, and S&OP planning processes are integrated, scalable, and high-performing.
You will own the Global Template for Kinaxis, balancing global standardization with regional flexibility, while maintaining strong governance, performance, and adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Governance
Lead the end-to-end functional and technical architecture of Kinaxis Maestro.
Design a Global Template (approx. 80% standardized / 20% localized) that can be reused across regions without creating technical debt.
Define and maintain architectural standards, best practices, and reusable components.
Perform design and workbook reviews to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Business Alignment & Process Design
Partner with global Supply Chain, S&OP, Demand, Supply, and Inventory Planning leaders to translate business requirements into Maestro configurations (workbooks, worksheets, dashboards, scenarios).
Lead Global Design Workshops to harmonize planning processes across regions.
Configure scenarios and “What‑If” analysis capabilities to support decision-making.
Explain planning logic, heuristic solvers, and scenario outcomes to senior and C‑suite stakeholders in clear business terms.
- Technical Leadership & Authoring
Act as the final authority on solution configuration, including:
Authoring: calculations, tasks, automation, dashboards
Data modeling: custom tables, attributes, resources, namespaces, dimensions
Provide hands-on expertise in RapidResponse / Maestro Authoring, including advanced expressions and JavaScript for custom logic.
Perform performance engineering: audit workbooks for calculation heaviness and optimize for large, multi-region concurrent usage.
- Integration & Data Architecture
Design and oversee data integration between Kinaxis and ERP systems, primarily SAP S/4HANA
Work with integration teams using middleware such as SAP CPI, Talend, Dell Boomi or similar, leveraging Kinaxis Data Integration (KDI).
Ensure robust handling of master data (BOMs, routings, lead times, locations, capacities) and transactional data (demands, supplies, orders, inventory).
Define data quality, monitoring, and reconciliation processes to ensure reliable planning outputs.
- Global Implementation & Change Management
Lead or oversee multi-geo implementations from design through deployment, cutover, and hypercare.
Manage rollouts across different time zones, languages, and regulatory environments.
Act as a Product Evangelist, driving user adoption and transitioning teams from legacy tools (e.g., Excel) to Kinaxis.
Support training, knowledge transfer, and build a global Kinaxis community of practice.
Required Qualification
8+ years in Supply Chain Planning (SAP APO, S&OP/IBP, Demand, Supply, Inventory).
4–5+ years specifically as a Kinaxis Architect / Senior Author.
At least 2 full-lifecycle, global Kinaxis implementations including Global Template design and multi-region rollout.
Preferred
