Your role and responsibilities

As a Brand Sales Specialist: Data Platform - Portfolio, you will create demand and progress opportunities to close for Data Platform solutions. This role requires deep expertise in driving sales growth and identifying new business opportunities. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Drive Demand Creation: Develop and execute strategies to create demand for Data Platform solutions, including identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and progressing existing opportunities to close. • Progress Opportunities: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions using Data Platform offerings such as watsonx Code Assistant, OpenPages, and Cloud Pak for Data. • Solution Delivery: Deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs, leveraging knowledge of Data Platform products and services, including Business Analytics Enterprise, Cognos Analytics, and SPSS Modeler. • Identify New Opportunities: Continuously identify and pursue new sales opportunities, staying up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge. • Client Engagement: Engage with clients to build strong relationships, understand their needs, and provide value-added solutions that drive business growth.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Deep Data Platform Knowledge: Proven expertise in Data Platform solutions, including watsonx Code Assistant, OpenPages, Cloud Pak for Data, Business Analytics Enterprise, Cognos Analytics, and SPSS Modeler, with the ability to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs. • Sales Growth Strategies: Experience in developing and executing strategies to drive demand creation and sales growth for Data Platform solutions, with a focus on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. • Industry Trend Analysis: Deep understanding of industry trends and competitor activity, with the ability to stay up-to-date on market developments and leverage this knowledge to maintain a competitive edge. • Solution Selling Expertise: Proven ability to collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions using Data Platform offerings, with a focus on delivering value-added solutions that drive business growth. • Complex Sales Experience: Experience in managing complex sales cycles, progressing existing opportunities to close, and continuously identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Deep Industry Acumen: Deep expertise in industries where Data Platform solutions are applied, enabling informed sales strategies and effective client engagement. • Advanced Solution Knowledge: Experience with a broad range of Data Platform products and services, including watsonx Code Assistant, OpenPages, Cloud Pak for Data, Business Analytics Enterprise, Cognos Analytics, and SPSS Modeler. • Strategic Sales Planning: Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans, leveraging industry trends and market analysis to drive demand creation and sales growth.
