TIAA Associate - Data Analytics in Mumbai, India
We are seeking a talented Data Analyst with expertise in Banking, Financial Services, and Wealth & Investment Management supporting US companies. You will analyze data, develop reports and dashboards using SQL, Python, Tableau, and Alteryx, support data quality initiatives, and contribute to business intelligence efforts that drive informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Perform data analysis and generate insights to support business decisions
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Tableau for stakeholders
Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources
Use Python and Alteryx for data manipulation, analysis, and automation tasks
Work with Snowflake platform to access and analyze large datasets
Conduct data quality assessments and validation to ensure accuracy
Support data governance initiatives and maintain data documentation
Use GIT for version control of analytical scripts and code
Collaborate with business users to understand reporting requirements
Translate business questions into analytical approaches and deliverables
Assist in troubleshooting data discrepancies and issues
Work with US stakeholders to deliver timely and accurate analytics
Support ad-hoc analysis requests and exploration data projects

Required Skills:
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis
Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and visualization
Experience with Snowflake data platform for querying and analysis (3+ year minimum)
Familiarity with Alteryx for data preparation and analysis workflows
Strong ability to create reports, dashboards, and visualizations in Tableau
Basic understanding of GIT for code management
Functional Skills:
Current role as Data Analyst or similar analytical position (3+ year minimum)
Strong analytical thinking and data interpretation skills
Understanding of data quality and validation techniques
Awareness of data governance and documentation practices
Good problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Ability to communicate effectively with business users
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Industry Requirements:
6-9 years total experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles
Experience with Banking, Financial Services, or Wealth & Investment Management supporting US clients
Understanding of financial metrics, KPIs, and business processes
Ability to communicate effectively with US-based teams
Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or related discipline
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of statistical analysis and data modeling concepts
Familiarity with advanced Tableau features and calculations
Interest in Tableau or Snowflake certifications
Experience with data visualization best practices
Experience working in Agile environments
Understanding of financial analysis and investment metrics
Awareness of US financial regulations and reporting requirements
Prior experience with US financial institutions or wealth management firms
Interest in investment portfolios, client analytics, or wealth management products
Shift Timings: 1:30 PM IST to 10:30 PM IST
