In1958, the citizensof Muenster, not satisfied with available medical services, set out to build a new hospital. J.M. Weinzapfel donated the land and spearheaded the efforts to make the hospital a reality. In1960, the BenedictineOrder of Sisters promised Muenster residents that they would provide nurses to operate the hospital. Sister MildredFelderhoff leads theway as the first hospital administrator.

*Job Description*

JOB SUMMARY: The Environmental Services (EVS) Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean,

safe, and sanitary environment throughout Muenster Hospital District. This role involves performing

cleaning and disinfecting duties, managing waste, and ensuring infection control practices are followed.

The EVS Technician will support the hospital's mission, vision, and values by adhering to high cleanliness

standards that promote patient safety and comfort.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

? High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

? Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial work, or healthcare environmental services

preferred but not required.

Skills and Abilities:

? Knowledge of cleaning practices, infection control standards, and proper handling of cleaning

agents and disinfectants.

? Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently.

? Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.

? Good communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Mobility:

? Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

? Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

? Flexibility to reach, bend, kneel, and use manual dexterity for cleaning tasks.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

? Work is performed in various hospital environments, including patient rooms, emergency areas,

and public spaces.

? Exposure to cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and waste materials is frequent.

? May require shifts on evenings, weekends, or holidays based on hospital needs.
