> Job Title: 3rd Grade Teaching Intern (1-Year Contract) > Location: Fairview Elementary > Contract Length: One School Year (2026--2027) > Compensation: 5/8ths salary based on district salary schedule > Benefits: Full benefits package > > Position Summary > > North Sanpete School District/Fairview Elementary is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 3rd Grade Teaching Intern to join our elementary team for the 2026--2027 school year. This position is ideal for an individual currently completing teacher licensure requirements or participating in an approved educator preparation program. The intern will work with the supervision of a licensed mentor teacher and school administration while assuming full classroom responsibilities. > > Key Responsibilities > > - Provide instruction in core subject areas aligned with state standards (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies) > - Collaborate with a mentor teacher for planning, instruction, and classroom management > - Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment > - Assess and monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly > - Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff > - Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities > - Follow all district policies, procedures, and curriculum guidelines > > Qualifications > > - Enrollment in or completion of an approved teacher preparation program > - Eligibility for an Intern or Associate Educator License (Utah-specific, if applicable) > - Strong communication and organizational skills > - Ability to work collaboratively with staff and administration > - Commitment to student learning and professional growth > > Preferred Qualifications > > - Experience working with elementary-aged students > - Familiarity with Utah Core Standards and evidence-based instructional practices > - Classroom management experience
