Isabella Citizens for Health Full-Time Pharmacy Clerk in Mt Pleasant, Michigan
Job Summary: The Pharmacy Clerk assists pharmacy patients in a retail setting performing the following duties.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Receives and stores incoming medication and supplies.
o Controlled substances will be verified and signed in by the pharmacist
o Confirms receipt of all items with invoices
o Scans all products through DSCSA verification
o Adds price stickers to all items received
o Shelves items; rotating older stock
- Places orders to maintain proper stock levels of supplies (vials, caps, labels, office supplies, etc.).

``` - Assists in identifying outdated product from shelves per pharmacy procedure.

``` - Performs sorting and filing of paper prescription records.

``` - Answers telephone; refers call to pharmacist or technician when appropriate.

``` - Completes sales of prescriptions and non-prescription items to patients by scanning each item/prescription to capture electronic signature upon pickup and collect copays.

``` - Updates patient demographics (phone, address, ID, etc.) within the pharmacy software.

``` - Prepares mail-order packages.

``` - Contacts patients in preparation for delivery, completes delivery sales, prepares delivery bags.

``` - Assists and/or completes special non-dispensing assignments (cleaning, organizing, etc.) as directed.

``` - Recognizes and reacts appropriately to an urgent or emergent situation.

``` - Performs other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.

``` - Attends and participates in all required meetings.
Qualifications:
Required
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Customer service or healthcare experience.
Preferred:
- Experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Experience in customer service.
This health center is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b. and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
