Key job responsibilities
As a Solutions Architect III, you will:
Own Complex Solution End-to-End
Lead the design, validation, and full lifecycle implementation of mission-critical customer solutions. Merge deep technical expertise with business strategy to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative architectures that solve high-impact problems.
Lead Technical Strategy & Advocacy
Drive technical discussions with customer teams, diving into design choices, AWS best practices, and real-world use cases. Challenge assumptions, validate architectures, and ensure solutions align with both technical excellence and business outcomes.
Build Scalable Knowledge Assets
Create reusable, adoption-ready technical content—including sample code, blogs, workshops, and presentations—that empowers teams to implement best practices efficiently and consistently.
Forge Consensus Across Stakeholders
Harmonize diverse perspectives by articulating clear technical and strategic visions. Resolve conflicts, align cross-functional teams, and drive unified execution of complex initiatives.
Accelerate Adoption Through Reuse
Identify opportunities to modularize solutions and leverage existing assets, reducing time-to-market and delivering greater value to the broader customer community.
A day in the life
Your day begins with internal stakeholder meetings to align on customer priorities before joining customer calls to discuss technical architecture and solution options. You'll spend time experimenting with new services to solve specific customer challenges, then document your findings. Afternoons might include solutioning sessions where you craft architectures that address complex media workloads, followed by building proof-of-concepts to demonstrate feasibility. You'll close your day evangelizing best practices to both internal teams and customers.

Basic Qualifications
8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
Preferred Qualifications
Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)
Experience in a technical role within a sales organization

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
