The Role
As a Senior Product Manager, Driver Information & Safety Experiences , you will lead the team of Product Mangers shaping what drivers see and interact with every time they get behind the wheel.
You will:
Define the future of instrument clusters and reconfigurable displays – how information is prioritized, visualized, and personalized.Supportingeverything fromevery day driving to on-track heromoments.
Shape Head‑Up Display (HUD) experiences that keep eyes on the road while giving drivers the confidence and context they need.Closely collaborating with R&D to shape future technologies to provide truly immersive experiences.
Reinvent how customers understand vehicle health, maintenance, and diagnostics, turning confusing warnings into clear, actionable guidance.
Orchestrate cross‑vehicle safety and warning experiences so that critical moments are handled consistently, calmly, and effectively.Integrating the latest technology tocreate experiences that inform andprotectourcustomers.
This is a highly visible role at the intersection of safety, design, hardware, and software. You’ll connect deep technical teams with customer insights, and you’ll decide which ideas become the next generation of GM’s driver information experience. If you love turning complex systems into simple, intuitive moments that drivers trust every day, this role gives you the scope and influence to do exactly that.
Success in this role requires operating in a fast‑paced, highly cross‑functional environment, making principled tradeoffs, and influencing teams across Software, Hardware, Safety, CX, Data, and Program Management.
What You’ll Do
Lead the following product manager disciplines: Cluster, HUD, Vehicle Health / Maintenance / Prognostics, & Safety.You willmakeyourproducts integrate and interact seamlesslywith each other andour customers.
Assure theexperiencesyou createarecraftedinteractions thatdon’tshow the engineering construct to thecustomer– create veryintentional experiences.
Obtaincross functionalstakeholder alignment encompassing Engineering,Program Managers, Vehicle Teams,Design,Safety andLegal
Activelymonitoremerging trends, incorporate data, research, and marketanalysis to inform, define, prioritize, and drive execution of product roadmapthat spans privacy initiatives, data collection, consent experiences, andprivacy controls.
Drive a data-driven culture andestablishand monitor key metrics tomeasure thehealth and usefulness of our solutions.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
3+ years of people leading experience
8+ years ofexperience in product managementor similar disciplines.
10+ years of experiencewiththe tech or automotivesoftwareindustry
Proven ability to balance tradeoffs between consumer needs andexpectations, legal and regulatory requirements, and businessobjectives.
Experience developing solutions to hard problems with many constraints,using sound judgement to assess risks, andlayingout your argument in awell-structured, data-informed, written narrative.
Demonstratedexpertisein writing, with the ability to effectively balance andintegratepressures from across the company. Clear communication perspectives to ensure clear, compliant, and engaging content for privacy-related matters.
Ability toidentifykey data and metricsrequiredto make decisions andimplications of their movement.
Strong communicationand storytelling skills, with the ability to articulatecomplex concepts to all stakeholders.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience balancing many initiatives thatbuild toa common, cohesive theme.
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, Milford, or Mountain View three times per week, at minimum.
Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area.
The salary range for this role is $178,800 to $322,500. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.

Company Vehicle: Upon successful completion of a motor vehicle report review, you will be eligible to participate in a company vehicle evaluation program, through which you will be assigned a General Motors vehicle to drive and evaluate. Note: program participants are required to purchase/lease a qualifying GM vehicle every four years unless one of a limited number of exceptions applies.
