Our Team. Our Passion. Our Approach. This is a position within FORTNA's Engineering Support Office team where you will play a pivotal role in driving excellence across our engineering operations. You will be responsible for supporting and driving Quality, Training & Documentation, Tools, Engineering Standards & Processes, and Metrics within the engineering department, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry standards. Responsibilities: Building in Quality Control for Engineering processes and deliverables. Develop and implement strategies to maintain and improve the quality of engineering processes, products, and servicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actionsConduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standardsDesign and execute comprehensive training programs for engineering staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and competenciesDevelop and maintain detailed documentation, including manuals, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), to support engineering activitiesEnsure that documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and accessible to relevant stakeholdersProvide guidance and support to engineers in following established procedures and best practicesEstablish a culture of continuous improvement and mechanisms to promote mentoring of associates across the Engineering departmentDefine key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of engineering processesAnalyze data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvementGenerate regular reports and presentations to communicate performance metrics and insights to senior managementWork closely with engineering teams to develop action plans and initiatives to address performance gaps and optimize processesCreate and regularly review and update Parts Library to reflect changes in product designs and manufacturing processesSupport engineering by providing expertise, resources, and guidance for a range of engineering software tools, including but not limited to AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, AutoCAD Electrical, Navisworks, BIM, and custom add-ons tailored to enhance functionality within these platformsFoster effective communication of innovative concepts and serve as a catalyst for driving transformative change within the engineering department Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Material Handling and Conveyor experience preferred Ability to work effectively on a team and support high levels of performance Strong management and advanced collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal communication) Experience with Engineering Software Tools Programming skills and experience preferred Proficient Parametric and Horizontal-Style modeling preferred Experience working with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Experience in standard design of relevant material handling equipment for position Ability to self-motivate Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills Ability to travel Ability to perform essential functions of the job Education and Experience: Engineering Bachelors degree (or similar engineering program) from an accredited college with 6+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years of relevant engineering experience. The base salary range for this role is $87,600 to $131,300. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position.
