Flexible schedule working with Knox County Communities, agencies, companies to enhance HNFB visibility, engage stakeholders, promote programs & services in order to better serve our clients in need.

 

HNFB Community Outreach Coordinator builds bridges between an organization and its community by developing and executing strategies to raise awareness, engage stakeholders, and promote programs, focusing on relationship building, event planning, communications, and tracking impact to further the organization's mission. Key duties involve creating outreach materials, managing social media, organizing events, cultivating partnerships, recruiting volunteers, and reporting on outreach effectiveness. 

 

* Job Summary*

Responsible for leading outreach efforts to connect the organization with the community, fostering strong relationships with partners, and increasing program visibility and participation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and mission. 

* Key Responsibilities*

  • Strategy & Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate outreach plans, identifying target audiences and key messaging.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, partner organizations, stakeholders, and volunteers.
  • Event Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute community events, workshops, informational sessions, and fundraisers.
  • Communications: Create and distribute promotional materials, manage social media, and serve as a public face for the organization.
  • Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers for outreach activities.
  • Data & Reporting: Track outreach metrics, analyze program impact, and report on outcomes to leadership.
  • Fundraising Support: Assist in identifying potential donors and sponsors and supporting fundraising efforts.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records, manage budgets for outreach programs, and handle related paperwork. 

* Qualifications and Skills*

  • Experience: Proven experience in community engagement, event planning, or related fields.
  • Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build rapport and work with diverse groups.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and email marketing tools.
  • Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized, adaptable, strategic thinker, and comfortable with irregular hours (evenings/weekends).
