Description
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all day‑to‑day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports
Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
Manage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes
Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors
Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasting activities
Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant federal, state, and local regulations
Develop and refine accounting policies, procedures, and systems
Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior leadership
Lead, train, and mentor the accounting team
Support strategic projects such as system implementations, process improvements, and financial planning initiatives
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management responsibilities
Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements
Proficiency with accounting software and financial reporting tools
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities
High level of integrity and attention to detail
