Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Mount Royal, New Jersey. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in managing financial records and ensuring the accuracy of accounting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong foundation in accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
• Process and manage accounts payable transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with bank statements.
• Conduct account reconciliations to verify the integrity of financial data.
• Prepare and post accounting entries to maintain accurate general ledger records.
• Collaborate with team members to support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist in identifying discrepancies and resolving financial issues promptly.
• Maintain organized documentation of financial records for audit and compliance purposes.
• Provide support for special projects and ad hoc financial tasks as needed.
Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in handling accounts payable processes.
• Strong skills in bank reconciliations and account reconciliation.
• Familiarity with preparing and posting accounting entries.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Basic knowledge of accounting software and tools.
