TEKsystems Customer Service Representative in Mount Prospect, Illinois

Customer Service Representative

Location: Mount Prospect, IL

Pay: $20–$25/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

Type: Contract-to-Hire

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, providing support with order entry, account management, reporting, and problem resolution. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fast‑paced work, thrives in customer‑focused environments, and is ready to grow within an innovative organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage 40+ inbound customer calls per day with professionalism and accuracy

  • Process order entry and order releases for national accounts

  • Maintain customer account information and update system records

  • Provide high‑quality customer support and resolve order or account‑related issues

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth sales and service operations

  • Generate and maintain reports, including those using Excel pivot tables and VLOOKUPs

  • Track performance metrics and contribute to meeting team goals

Work Environment & Training

  • Training: 2–3 months fully onsite (Mount Prospect, IL)

  • Hybrid After Training: Tuesday & Wednesday required onsite; 3rd day rotates weekly

  • 1‑hour unpaid lunch

  • Reports to the Vice President and Customer Service Manager

What We’re Looking ForMust‑Haves

  • 2+ years of call center or high‑volume B2B customer service experience

  • Order entry experience

  • Prior experience in industrial, technical, or manufacturing environments

  • Proficiency with:

  • Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)

  • Outlook & Teams

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to multitask and communicate clearly

  • Team-oriented with strong follow‑through and organization

Nice to Have

  • Salesforce experience

  • Experience supporting technical or hardware‑related products

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Prospect, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
