Job Title: 2nd Shift Packaging Quality LeadJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Packaging Quality Lead to join our fast-growing team. This role involves overseeing packaging quality during the 3pm-11:30pm shift, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required to accommodate business needs. You will ensure that our production meets the highest standards, especially during busy periods such as the holiday season.
Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a team within a food manufacturing facility, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Train employees on production and quality assurance processes.
Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity and quality.
Develop, implement, and monitor adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Oversee packaging quality control and production management.
Ensure compliance with FDA and USDA regulations.
Utilize Microsoft programs for reporting and documentation.
Essential Skills
5+ years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing facility.
Experience with training employees in a production environment.
Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with implementing quality standards and following SOPs.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
SQF and HACCP certifications are a plus.
Experience with USDA and FDA regulations.
Familiarity with OSHA standards.
Experience in production management, quality control, and food production.
Work Environment
You will work in a dynamic food manufacturing facility with multiple production lines, each producing different products based on daily order demands. The environment includes large mixers and ovens, and requires machinery that needs disassembly and handwashing, presenting unique challenges for sanitation teams. This is a Permanent position based out of Mount Pleasant, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $55000.00/yr.
This is a direct placement position. Benefits will be provided on start of assignment by client or sooner if requested by client.
