Job Description
The Machine Operator sets up and operates fast-paced labeling film equipment in a high-volume production environment. This role supports a 2-2-3 rotating schedule on either day or night shifts, offering predictable, year-long scheduling and opportunities for long weekends. The position suits individuals with a mechanical or manufacturing experience who enjoy hands-on work, working with machinery, and contributing to an efficient production line.
Responsibilities
Operate labeling film machinery by feeding film through the equipment and monitoring a continuous-feed production process.
Set up machines according to production specifications and ensure correct materials are loaded for each run.
Monitor equipment performance during operation and respond quickly to jams, misfeeds, or other production issues.
Perform basic adjustments and minor troubleshooting on machines to maintain consistent output and product quality.
Work at a fast pace to keep up with continuous production demands while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Follow established assembly and production procedures to meet daily and weekly output targets.
Use hand tools and power tools as needed to support machine operation, basic maintenance, or assembly-related tasks.
Inspect materials and finished products visually to identify defects or inconsistencies and report issues to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety, efficiency, and quality standards.
Stand for extended periods while working on the production line and move materials or products as needed.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures while working with machinery and tools.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of mechanical or manufacturing
At least 1 year of production or assembly experience.
Ability to stand on feet for extended shifts.
Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced, continuous-feed production environment.
Basic experience with machine operation or strong mechanical aptitude that can be applied to operating equipment.
Comfort using hand tools and power tools in a production or general labor setting.
Reliability in following established processes and safety procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1 year of machine operating experience is preferred but not required with a strong mechanical
Experience in assembly, assembly line, or general labor roles in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work rotating shifts and maintain consistent attendance on a 2-2-3 schedule.
Willingness to work in areas that are not climate controlled.
No certifications or medical clearances are required for this position.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, well-maintained production facility focused on labeling film and related manufacturing processes. The work area is not climate controlled, so it can become warm during the summer months, while remaining reasonably comfortable in winter since the position is indoors. Team members work around production machinery, assembly lines, and use hand and power tools in a fast-paced environment. Shifts follow a 2-2-3 rotating schedule on both day and night shifts, with day shift running from approximately 5:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and night shift from approximately 5:45 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The schedule is mapped out for the entire year, allowing employees to plan ahead for time off and long weekends.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
