Job Description
Under the direction of a Supervisor, performs support tasks related to the inventorying, distributing and unpacking supplies in a JIT system.
Job Responsibility
Inventories assigned areas on a daily basis to prepare the JIT order. To assure patients/care givers have the necessary supplies to provide appropriate care ('Right items').To assure patients/care givers have the necessary quantity of supplies to avoid run-outs while minimizing inventory expense ('Right quantity').Stocks the clean core in each unit to assure the orderly storage of supplies (binned and labeled).
Distributes and redistributes supplies as needed, utilizing the entire hospital's supply inventory as a 'warehouse' to maintain sufficient supply levels.
Fills and delivers special departmental requisitions as directed.
Effectively communicates with personnel outside the department as needed.
Responds to Hospital disaster plans in accordance with disaster plan policy.
Fills and delivers requisitions and department orders as directed.
Informs supervisor of deviation of procedure.
Utilizes the work and safety equipment available for the use in job duties.
Participates in hospital and departmental mandatory education and disaster plan as directed.
Performs all receiving, mailroom and bulk stores functions as assigned or directed by supervisory personnel.
Regularly reports to work when scheduled
Adapts to new or unusual situations without affecting performance or work procedures within the department.
Adheres to Human Resource Policies and Procedures.
Maintains good working relationships with supervisors, peers, department managers and staff utilizing the NWH customer service philosophy.
Performs related duties as required.
Job Qualification
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Supply management experience, preferred.

The salary range for this position is $23.69-$25.50/hour
