Skills / Abilities
The worker must have the ability to:
- Read and follow written and verbal instructions related to winding machine operation and safety.
- Perform basic measurements using a ruler or tape measure to set winder knives and cut cores to customer specifications.
- Lift, move, and position materials up to 50 lbs.
- Work safely around moving machinery and follow safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in a production environment.
- Communicate effectively using interpersonal skills while work closely in a team environment.
- Perform basic computer skills.
Special Requirements
- Ability to operate or learn to operate a crane hoist (training provided).
- Ability to stand for extended periods during a shift.
- Ability to visually inspect paper for impurities to ensure quality standards.
