JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Title: Flexible Child Respite Provider Pay: \$17.66/hour Location: Kronenwetter, WI Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Youth Respite Provider to support a young boy with Down syndrome in the Kronenwetter area. This role involves providing one-on-one care and supervision in a structured, supportive environment that promotes safety, emotional regulation, and positive engagement. The ideal candidate is calm, patient, and proactive, with a genuine commitment to helping children thrive through consistency, encouragement, and gentle guidance. Work Location & Schedule Location: Greenheck Adventure Camp (first 9 weeks) Camp Sturtevant through the YMCA (final 3 weeks) Schedule: Flexible; determined in coordination with the parent Must be available during camp hours Key Responsibilities Provide consistent one-on-one supervision to ensure the child\'s safety during all activities Support emotional regulation by responding calmly and effectively to behavioral challenges Encourage participation and engagement in camp activities Foster a structured, nurturing, and positive environment Maintain clear and ongoing communication with the parent/guardian Qualifications The ideal candidate will: Demonstrate a calm, observant, and safety-focused approach Have experience working with children with developmental disabilities, or sensory needs Be comfortable supporting both active play and quiet/regulation periods Possess skills in de-escalation, redirection, and following established care routines Be patient, compassionate, and adaptable Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with families Requirements Ability to pass a caregiver/criminal background check Authorization to work in the United States Reliable transportation and strong attendance Why Apply?
