Basin Transportation LLC dba Basin Farming, is a transportation company serving farmers in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. We are one of the area's largest providers of natural fertilizers and specialize in the transport and application of cattle and chicken fertilizers. DRIVING ROUTES: Washington, Oregon, North Idaho, Canada and other routes as assigned Job Description: We are recruiting dedicated, experienced transportation professionals with positive attitudes who are focused on customer service, timely delivery, and operating vehicles in a safe and lawful manner. Must be 21 years old. EDUCATION: High School Graduate; GED/HS Equivalency Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English fluently as a second language LICENSING, ENDORSEMENTS, & CERTIFICATIONS: Clean MVR and driving record Current Driver's License Class A CDL with 3 years experience Hold a current medical card SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Basic knowledge of DOT rules, regulations, and policies Basic math skills are required Properly log service and service hours ELOG Calculate scale tickets Operate scale Perform pre-and-post trip inspections Maintenance of truck and trailer including checking of fluid, lubrication, and tire pressure levels Engage and disengage a variety of trailers including belt hoppers and trailer Properly load, tarp, and scale a variety of products Ability to read maps and follow directions Ability to lift 80 to 100 lbs. Ability to chain truck and trailer as needed Ability to climb ladders and shovel Unloading product in correct patterns and locations Communicate with mechanics on all maintenance and repair issues Keeping the interior and exterior of trucks in professional and clean condition Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Submitting crucial reports and records immediately EXPECTATIONS: Document and submit incident reports immediately Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to make good judgment calls Exceptional record keeping and reporting skills Contributing to the improvement of processes and procedures Responsibility for the security of assets, inventories, supplies, and equipment Identifying redundancies to reduce waste Possessing high levels of confidentiality and trustworthiness Willingness to sign company Confidentiality Agreement; and a Non-Compete Agreement if applicable Sound interpersonal skills Goal-oriented and driven with attention to detail Exemplary customer service skills High levels of personal accountability Encourage team building Compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and Cascade Agronomics and Basin Farming policies at all times and in all places Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor MISCELLANEOUS: Entry to intermediate-level knowledge of computers, software programs, and applications Attend all meetings and trainings Required to participate in random drug and alcohol testing Willingness to assist or work in any or all areas as needed Required Licenses: CLASS A CDL REQUIRED; Endorsements desired Special Skills: DRIVERS ARE PAID PER LOAD PER LOAD AMOUNTS ARE BASED ON ASSIGNED ROUTE A CURRENT PASSPORT WILL BE NEEDED Medical, dental, and vision benefits 401(k)
