rrPosition Overview:
r
This position is responsible for providing day-to-day operations support to team members throughout the planning, implementation and delivery of programs, and may serve as first point of contact for the unit.
Duties may include:
- Serving as primary contact with program participants, customer service and office support functions
- Facilitating communicating between program participants and managerial staff
- Coordinating arrangements for the program such as meetings, conferences and banquets
- Collecting, compiling and summarizing program data and managing records
- Maintaining program calendars and schedules
- May utilize University programs to create, review and approval financial documents and to provide routine financial reports to the program administrator
- Other duties as assigned
rrRequired Experience:
r
- Three years performing administrative, office and/or program support functions
rrRequired Education:
r
- High School Diploma or equivalent
rrRequired Other:
r
- Must possess a valid drivers license and be able to meet policy requirements for driving university-owned vehicles
- Ability to travel
rrAdditional Preferred:
r
- Bachelors degree
- Experience:
- Providing customer service using centralized computer systems (such as financial) while completing administrative tasks
- Managing calendars and/or scheduling
- Experience interpreting, applying and explaining complex information such as regulations, policies or services
- Composing, proofing and editing a variety of documents, using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials
- Using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email and internet research
- Independently solving problems and performing liaison activities in a work setting and coordinating activities requiring complex arrangements
- Experience working collaboratively with Tribal governments and agencies
- Demonstrated knowledge of Native American education policies
