Job Title: Facilities Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Facilities Technician to assist in the assembly and repair of equipment, working closely with Level II and III mechanics. The role involves performing production maintenance, maintaining building grounds, and ensuring the maintenance shop and work areas meet our high standards. A foundational understanding of HVAC, chiller, and boiler systems is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Follow directions for basic assembly and repair of equipment.

  • Work with Level II and III mechanics on small projects, preventative maintenance tasks, and resolving breakdowns.

  • Complete all necessary paperwork using the CMM’s program.

  • Conduct production maintenance and care for building grounds as needed.

  • Lubricate and grease equipment.

  • Maintain the maintenance shop and work area according to standards.

Essential Skills

  • 1-3 years of facility maintenance experience.

  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate in English.

  • Basic math and measurement skills.

  • Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 40 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the food industry.

  • Basic welding skills with a willingness to learn TIG and MIG welding.

  • Experience or familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Bi-lingual proficiency in Spanish, Polish, or Russian.

This is a Permanent position based out of Morton Grove, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
