"WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic who will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, cleaning, inspecting, and maintain of mechanical equipment throughout the facility in a safe and professional manner. The mechanics responsibilities may include but are not limited to initiates and completes work-orders and requisitions and documents all critical and or pertinent information on a routine basis. They will respond and report to work during off hours when emergency repairs are required. They will troubleshoot equipment, diagnose problems and repairs. They will also operate other equipment including, but not limited to, industrial forklifts, manlifts, skid steer type loaders, and other mobile equipment.Responsibilities:Initiates and completes work-orders and requisitions and documents all critical and or pertinent information on a routine basisAbility to use and become proficient with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software (Tabware)Available to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime,Respond and report to work during off hours when emergency repairs are required and ability to be on callTroubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, diagnose problems, and make necessary repairsOperate mobile equipment including, but not limited to, industrial forklifts, manlifts, skid steer type loaders, and other mobile equipmentPerform Preventative maintenance activities and other routine maintenance and repairs around facility groundsIdentify and repair potential safety hazardsAbility to don all necessary PPE and safely work at heights, confined spaces, and other precarious placesAbility to communicate effectively via radio using three-part communicationActively participate and support operations functions as necessary, including but not limited to internal equipment inspections, fire watch, cleaning of work area(s), etc.Use various Machine shop equipment such as a bandsaw, drill press, Bridgeport, stationary grinder, parts washer, etc.Knowledge of welding practices, including but not limited to; SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, Brazing and Soldering processesMaintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.Proficient knowledge, skills and abilities required to properly identify and safely and effectively use and maintain hand tools and portable power tools on a routine basis while performing maintenance tasksKnowledge of operating equipment in a Waste-to-Energy facility or similar industry including but not limited to, chain & flight conveyors, belt conveyors, hydraulic equipment, pneumatic equipment, overhead cranes, and various style pumpsWorks rotating shifts, if requestedCommunicates clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing; as well as communicate clearly whether using in-situ intercom system, two-way radio, or face to faceFollows standard safety and environmental procedures, correct safety, and environmental hazards, and report them to the Shift Supervisor immediately. Reads, understands, and applies information such as lockout/tagout procedures, safety and environmental rules, job hazard analyses, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsMaintains and follows all Company environmental compliance, health and safety requirements, policies, procedures, and rules withinCompletes all required Environmental Management System and Compliance TrainingComplete the Corporate and Plant Training Programs within the time frame prescribedPreferred Requirements:High School diploma (GED)Tech Schooling ExperienceProven mechanical abilities in previous jobs, 3 -- 5 years of mechanical background or experience working in a construction type environmentProficient with Oxy-Acetylene and Plasma torch usageAbility to read and record measurements with precisionQualified in structural welding in accordance with D1.1 or demonstrate interest in obtaining certificationCertificates and Licenses:Licenses as required by Local, State, Federal, Environmental and/or Health/Safety Regulatory agencies.Work Environment:Listed below are key points regarding environmental demands and work environment of the job.
