About the Role:
As a CBRE Meeting & Events Planner, youwill serve as the primary point of contact for the planning and execution of small to medium-sized client meetings, events,and conferences.
This job is part of the Workplace Experiencefunction. They are responsible for providing world-class customer service to the clients and visitors of a designatedbuilding.
This is a fully onsite role Monday-Friday in Morristown, NJ. Hours are typically 7:30am-4pm with some flexibility to support events as needed.
What You’ll Do:
Develop end-to-end event plans to ensureflawless execution from start to finish.
Produce detailed event planning timelines andtrack progress. Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
Respond to common inquiries from clients,co-workers, and/or supervisor.
Distribute event orders and schedules tovendors and team defining event specifics. Create timelines and floorplans for set-up, event flow, and eventset up and tear down details.
Oversee pre-event client planning meetings.This includes acquiring vendors, menu planning, theme and decor, budgets, etc. Support event communication andmarketing plan. Solve issues as they arise.
Key contact for day of the event. Ensureseamless event delivery by the events operations team and vendors.
Responsible for on-site coordination. Confirmload in, set up time, and verify a certificate of insurance is on file.
Support events team with execution. Directevent set-up and tear down, welcoming guests, supporting attendee and speaker requests etc.
Conduct post-event reporting andreconciliation. Suggest recommendations for continuous improvement and cost and process efficiency. Presentinformation to management.
Have some knowledge of standard principles withlimited practical experience in applying them.
Lead by example and model behaviors that areconsistent with CBRE RISE values.
Impact the quality of own work.
Work within standardized procedures andpractices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Exchange straightforward information, askquestions and check for understanding.
What You’ll Need:
High School Diploma with up to 3 years of relevant experience in meetings, events, hotel/ hospitality and/or conference support preferred.
Prior experience setting up AV is a plus but not required.
Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training and experience. The compensation is about $75,000 annual base salary plus 5% target bonus based on experience. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience.
