Atlantic Health is Seeking a Cardiologist to Lead its Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) Program
Atlantic Health is seeking a full-time Cardiologist for the Medical Director of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) Program in Morristown, New Jersey. As a Cardiologist specializing in HCM, you'll play a pivotal role in providing advanced care to patients by leading a multifaceted program which has been recognized as a center of excellence by the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association since 2014. The program is supported by a surgeon with expertise in myectomy, interventional cardiologists with expertise in alcohol septal ablation, experts in cardiac MRI, cardiac CT and advanced echocardiography, and a dedicated Genetics Counselor. It has strong philanthropic support from the community, the resources of the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute, a 200 bed heart hospital on the Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center Campus and the Atlantic Center for Research. This role entails both outpatient care in Morristown and inpatient consult responsibilities at Atlantic Health Morristown. The cardiologist should be able to interpret echocardiograms and perform conventional and cardiopulmonary exercise testing.
Research interest and experience including experience with myosin inhibitors highly desirable. Eligible for academic appointment at Assistant Professor level or higher.
Salary Range: $550,000–$650,000 base salary only; excludes any quality and/or productivity incentives
