Atlantic Health System Maintenance Mechanic I, AHSIC-Full Time in Morristown, New Jersey
Position Summary: Provides basic property maintenance services to residential rental properties owned by Atlantic Health.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Prepare apartments for rental and renewal which includes cleaning and painting of apartments.
Perform basic maintenance of apartments and commercial properties including, but not limited to, clean out sink drains, check and replace smoke detector batteries, replace HVAC filters, replace refrigerators and stoves, replacing outdoor light bulbs and other basic repairs as needed.
Responsible for keeping the common grounds of apartments clean.
Removal and clearing of ice and snow.
Respond to maintenance requests from tenants and facilitate move-in and move out procedures, respond to lock-outs, show apartments to prospective tenants, meet vendors and contractors and facilitate contractor activities at the complex.
May be required to respond to after hour maintenance requests.
Keep maintenance records as set forth by the On-Site Manager.
Other duties deemed necessary by On-Site Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must possess a valid NJ driver’s license.
Must possess good communication skills and be able to follow instructions.
Required to work longer shifts in the winter for snow and ice removal and in June and July for preparation of apartments for medical resident apartment turnover.
Physical Requirements (if any):
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
