As Director, Contract Analytics , you will serve as the senior analytics leader for a major national account, working in partnership with an Associate Director to develop and execute comprehensive contract strategy. You will personally drive the most complex analytical work while providing mentorship and strategic guidance to your Associate Director partner. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in sophisticated financial modeling, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead high-stakes contract negotiations while developing analytical talent.

Main responsibilities

  • Partner with and mentor an Associate Director, providing strategic guidance, analytical coaching, and professional development while ensuring high-quality deliverables across all account activities.

  • Personally own and execute the highest-complexity contract analyses, including multi-product strategic agreements, novel pricing structures, and high-risk financial scenarios requiring advanced modeling techniques.

  • Serve as the primary analytics expert for executive-level presentations, defending strategic recommendations to Pricing Committee and senior leadership.

  • Lead complex contract negotiations as the senior analytics representative, providing real-time financial guidance and strategic insights during customer discussions.

  • Own end-to-end contract strategy and financial analytics for assigned national account, ensuring alignment with corporate contracting guidelines and financial objectives.

  • Develop comprehensive account-specific pricing proposals through sophisticated financial modeling, scenario analysis, and competitive assessment.

  • Manage annual contract event timelines for assigned account, including bid calendars, market events, and customer-specific milestones, ensuring seamless coordination during overlapping bid cycles.

  • Conduct proactive GTN risk assessments and continuous performance monitoring to identify account-specific financial risks and opportunities early.

  • Lead collaboration with account deal teams (Account Management, Value & Access, Strategic Pricing, Legal) to develop strategic recommendations and solutions for complex contracting situations.

  • Prepare and deliver pricing governance reviews with auditable documentation, obtaining Pricing Committee approvals as required for contract terms.

  • Partner with Finance during monthly, and annual forecast cycles to provide account-specific modeling inputs and GTN impact assessments.

  • Coordinate with Contract Operations team to ensure accurate system setup of pricing terms and timely rebate payment processing.

  • Monitor and analyze monthly contract performance, identifying trends, variances, and actionable insights to optimize contract outcomes.

  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives in collaboration with broader Analytics & Reporting function to enhance efficiency and analytical capabilities.

  • Conduct peer reviews of strategic recommendations and provide cross-account insights to support enterprise-wide contract strategy.

About you

Professional Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills with ability to coach, develop, and retain high-performing analytical talent.

  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical contracting, managed markets, and gross-to-net dynamics.

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills with ability to drive consensus across cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines during peak bid cycles.

  • Auditable accuracy in work product with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication (verbal/written) and presentation skills with executive presence.

  • Strong PC skills including advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.

Experience:

  • 5+ years pharmaceutical experience in Contracting, Pricing, Finance, Operations or other critical thinking discipline.

  • Managed Markets contracting knowledge with demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical contracting, rebate structures, and pricing governance.

  • Experience leading or mentoring analytical teams preferred.

  • Proven track record of managing complex contract negotiations and financial analytics.

Education:

  • BA or BS Degree (Economics, Finance or Accounting preferred)

  • MBA/CPA preferred

Travel:

  • Approximately 10-15%

The salary range for this position is:

$178,500.00 - $257,833.33

All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
