Job Title: Lead SAP Hybris Architect / SAP Commerce Cloud Principal Architect
Experience: 15 – 17 Years (Specific to Enterprise eCommerce & SAP Architecture)
Job Summary
- We are looking for a highly experienced SAP Hybris Architect with 15–17 years of strong enterprise eCommerce background to design, architect, and lead large-scale SAP Commerce Cloud implementations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Hybris architecture, integrations, performance engineering, and technical leadership to drive technical excellence and strategic alignment across our digital commerce platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Architecture (15+ years in Enterprise Architecture): Own and define the end-to-end solution architecture for SAP Commerce Cloud/HYBRIS implementations. Design scalable, extensible, secure, and high-availability architectures for B2B and/or B2C platforms.
Architecture Leadership (12+ years in Technical Leadership): Lead architecture workshops, technical discovery, PoCs, and solution blueprint creation. Ensure alignment of technical strategy with business goals and long-term roadmap.
Technical Design & Development (10+ years in Technical Design & Oversight): Oversee the design of custom extensions, storefront components, Backoffice customizations, and OCC APIs. Guide the development of integrations with SAP ERP, S/4HANA, CRM, OMS, PIM, payment gateways, and third-party services.
SAP Commerce Expertise (8+ years focused on SAP Commerce/Hybris): Ensure correct implementation of Hybris OOTB features, accelerators, and SmartEdit. Work with engineering teams to implement microservices and API-led architectures where necessary.
Performance, Security & Quality (10+ years in Performance/Security Optimization): Lead performance optimization—Solr tuning, caching, clustering, load balancing, DB optimization. Ensure best practices in code quality, security, scalability, and fault tolerance. Conduct architecture reviews, code audits, and performance assessments.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management (12+ years in Stakeholder Management): Work closely with business teams, product owners, UX, QA, and DevOps. Provide architectural guidance across multiple scrum teams. Prepare estimations, risk assessments, solution documents, and high-level design artifacts.
DevOps & Cloud Enablement (8+ years in DevOps/Cloud Architecture): Support cloud deployments on SAP Commerce Cloud, AWS, Azure, or other environments. Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD setup, Docker/Kubernetes, automated builds, and release pipelines.
Leadership & Mentoring (8+ years in Mentorship/Team Leadership): Mentor and guide developers, technical leads, and junior architects. Act as the technical escalation point for complex issues. Promote technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Overall Experience: 15–17 years of total experience in IT, consulting, or software development, with a deep specialization in the enterprise eCommerce domain.
SAP/Hybris Experience: 10+ years of direct, hands-on experience in SAP Hybris/SAP Commerce Cloud architecture.
Technical Proficiency
Hybris Core Expertise (8+ years strong expertise): in Hybris architecture, extensions, accelerators, OCC, Backoffice, SmartEdit, and storefront
Java & Frameworks (10+ years deep experience): with Java, Spring, REST APIs, microservices, and integration frameworks
SAP Integration (8+ years hands-on experience): integrating SAP Commerce with ERP/S4HANA, SAP CPI/PO, CRM, OMS, and PIM
Performance Optimization (8+ years strong knowledge): of Solr search, caching, CDN, clustering, security, and performance optimization techniques
Cloud & DevOps (5+ years experience): in cloud-based deployments and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes)
eCommerce Architecture (10+ years strong understanding): of enterprise-level eCommerce architecture, multi-country, and multi-brand setups
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: SAP Commerce Cloud certifications or Hybris certifications are highly preferred.
Modern Architecture: Experience with B2B Accelerator, multi-site, multi-brand, multi-catalog environments.
Future-Proofing: Familiarity with MACH principles, composable commerce, and API-first architecture.
Leadership: Experience leading global enterprise eCommerce transformations
