Summary
Operate and continuously monitor beverage processing and packaging equipment, assisting with line changeovers and minimizing downtime caused by operator errors. Accurately complete documentation for raw material usage, downtime, sanitation, and quality checklists. Ensure products meet quality standards, with correct packaging materials and accurate coding per production orders. Monitor machine performance, escalate issues promptly, and promote a culture of safety by reporting unsafe conditions.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the operation and continuous monitoring of equipment on the beverage production line.
- Obtain working knowledge and experience operating beverage processing and packaging machinery; effectively threading labels/wrap, adjusting infeed/outfeeds, clearing jams and ensuring decreased downtime due to operator errors.
- Assist in changing overs of production equipment based on label type, bottle type and size, and variable packaging types.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and clearly for tracking raw material usage/waste, downtime, sanitation and other checklists as assigned.
- Ensure product is produced at the highest quality with the correct packaging materials (bottles, caps, labels, case, and film wrap) following the posted production order.
- Ensure that each product is produced with an accurate date code, and/or case tag label, and pallet tag based on the production order.
- Monitor machine performance and escalating issues, creating downtime, and/or producing products below quality standards.
- Promote a culture of safety and report any unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions or potential hazards immediately.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by performing housekeeping complying with GMPs SQF HAACP, LOTO and general workplace safety standards
- Must maintain accurate documentation that is legible, and organized
- Must follow good manufacturing practices
- Must ensure food safety and quality are maintained by following regulations and company guidelines
- Participate in ongoing training related to job duties, safety, equipment operation, and product handling.
