Two years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Conducts applicant interviews and screenings to determine programmatic and financial eligibility for public health services in compliance with federal and state regulations

  • Maintains strict confidentiality while accurately documenting client information for billing, reporting, and program integrity using EHR systems

  • Educates clients on available services, program requirements, and next steps to ensure access to appropriate public health resources

  • Collects and processes fees, ensuring proper documentation and financial accountability

  • Provides WIC program support by scheduling appointments, assisting clients in person and by phone, maintaining participant records, issuing benefits, and delivering basic nutrition education

  • Supports outreach efforts to promote program participation and community awareness of available services

  • Performs administrative duties, including managing appointments, supplies, correspondence, safeguarding sensitive data, and serving as backup for vital records processing as needed
