Operations Supervisor – 2nd Shift
Pay Range: $72,000 – $74,000 annually
Location: Moreno Valley/Perris, CA
About the Role
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day warehouse operations on the 2nd shift. This leader ensures productivity, safety, accuracy, and service-level expectations are consistently achieved. The role includes supervision of warehouse associates, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a positive, high‑performance work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Oversee all 2nd shift warehouse functions, including receiving, picking, packing, replenishment, shipping, and inventory control.
Assign labor and manage workflow to meet daily production goals.
Monitor performance metrics and take corrective actions when needed.
Team Supervision & Development
Lead, coach, and develop warehouse associates.
Conduct shift huddles, assign daily tasks, and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Manage attendance, performance feedback, coaching, and corrective action processes.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety programs.
Conduct regular safety audits, ensure proper equipment use, and promote a strong safety culture.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality expectations, and operational standards.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Support implementation of operational strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and participate in cycle counts.
Communication & Reporting
Maintain clear communication across shifts, departments, and leadership teams.
Prepare and deliver shift reports, performance updates, and escalate issues as needed.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including HR, Maintenance, and Training.
Qualifications
Required
2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency with WMS systems and basic computer applications (Word, Excel, email).
Ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
Preferred
Experience in high‑volume distribution or e‑commerce fulfillment.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Work in varying warehouse conditions (temperature, noise levels, etc.).
