Job Description
The Maintenance B Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of industrial equipment throughout the Distribution Center. This role involves upholding standard policies and procedures within the assigned department, with a strong emphasis on safety. The mechanic must understand and adhere to safety regulations and extended safety requirements, including the use of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) in maintenance, electrical, and technical tasks.
Responsibilities
Maintain and troubleshoot industrial equipment.
Uphold standard policies and procedures within the department.
Follow all safety rules and regulations.
Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on high-speed sorters, MDRs, powered curve conveyors, and related equipment.
Replace and wire 480 3 phase motors with brakes and speed reducers (Gear Box).
Maintain air control systems, including air compressors, valves, actuators, and cylinders.
Weld using Arc, Gas, Wire, and soldering techniques.
Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
Assist A Mechanics with various tasks.
Communicate with upper management daily.
Ensure OSHA compliance within the department.
Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
Contribute hands-on and work with minimal supervision.
Undertake special projects and general requests from the supervisor.
Essential Skills
Troubleshooting and maintenance technician skills.
Repair skills in electrical and mechanical systems.
Experience with high-speed sorters and powered curve conveyors.
Knowledge of air control systems and hydraulic systems.
Proficiency in welding and using shop tools.
Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with conveyors and mechanical equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
CAL OSHA certification for Turret, Reach, Order Picker, Walker Rider, Manual Pallet equipment.
Ability to comprehend company customized systems and programs.
Extensive knowledge of company policies and procedures with a focus on safety.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented and able to handle constructive criticism.
Trade School Certificate preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $52000.00/yr.
