Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Job Description

The Maintenance Manager will provide direction and support to a team of technicians in a multi-facility and multi-shift production environment. They are responsible for managing the maintenance and repair services for all complex electrical and mechanical Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and systems, while leading and developing their team according to organizational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic business processes and projects to optimize distribution center efficiency.

  • Mentor and develop supervisors to fulfill their responsibilities and support the reporting team.

  • Manage performance processes for supervisors, including goal setting, reviews, disciplinary actions, hiring decisions, and overall personnel management.

  • Develop and implement standard procedures to monitor equipment performance, safety, and effectiveness.

  • Coordinate preventative maintenance work based on equipment hours, mean time to failure (MTTF) reporting, and equipment availability.

  • Plan and schedule maintenance technicians, materials, and activities to complete work orders with minimal downtime.

  • Prepare daily and weekly reports on equipment performance, expense management, and personnel utilization.

  • Collaborate with operations personnel on production schedules, flow, and any equipment concerns.

  • Manage all hotline service calls promptly and ensure proper personnel have been contacted.

  • Work proactively and collaboratively with supporting functions such as Engineering, IT, Operations, and HR.

  • Monitor the proper use of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) by MHE supervisors and technicians.

  • Drive safety initiatives for compliance adherence and escalate incidents accordingly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with 5-7 years of applicable experience with progressive responsibility OR relevant Associate's Degree with certifications

  • Knowledge of all applicable safety rules and regulations

  • Understanding of extended safety requirements in maintenance, electrical, and technical trades

  • Good understanding of the technical features of mechanical and electrical systems

  • Strong knowledge of production automation and equipment

  • Extensive knowledge of company policies and procedures with an emphasis on safety

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
