As a Security Officer Access Specialist in Morehead, KY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor entry points, verify access, and support security-related operations through routine presence and strong communication. This role combines customer service with attention to detail as you help to deter incidents and assist visitors and staff. What You'll Do:
Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific policies, managing access control procedures, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and other access-related activity.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security-related conditions.
Support retail operations by assisting with queue management, directing visitors and/or vendors, and helping to maintain orderly access at designated entry points.
Minimum Requirements:
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
