GENERAL MOTORS LLC Industrial Electrician Journeyperson - DMAX, Ltd. in Moraine, Ohio
PLEASE NOTE: This position is with DMAX Ltd., a subsidiary of General Motors, and is not a direct General Motors position. Successful candidate must be able to work at both DMAX locations in Moraine, OH and Brookville, OH.
The Industrial Electrician Journeyperson is responsible for supporting plant manufacturing operations at DMAX. This includes, but is not limited to, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment. Electricians are also responsible for electrical installations, repairs and preventative maintenance of complex electrical equipment and circuits.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and company procedures
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment
- Analyze and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in equipment and related components, diagnosing and correcting the problems quickly to avoid production delays
- Perform electrical preventative and corrective maintenance on all plant equipment
- Read and interpret drawings and wiring schematics
- Promote teamwork and show a willingness to work with other departments
- Participating in continuous improvement activities
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have at least six (6) years of related experience as an Electrician or a U.S. Department of Labor Certificate of Completion in the Electrical trade.
- Must be able to successfully pass DMAX's pre-employment requirements.
- At least 18 years of age
- Eligible to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as an Industrial Electrician
- PLC knowledge
