Job Duties
Moorhead Area Public Schools – ISD 152 seeks Special Education Teachers in Moorhead, MN. Multiple Openings. Duties include: Provide direct and indirect instruction to students using a variety of techniques and clear objectives, and modifying curriculum as needed; plan and conduct student activities; teach socially acceptable behavior and establish and enforce rules for behavior; timely complete all procedural and compliance paperwork; maintain accurate and complete records and reports; develop effective communication plans, and meet and confer with students' parents, administrators, and other professionals to develop IEPs and screen to determine special education eligibility; provide crisis intervention; assist in data collection and prep data for governmental reports; serve on multidisciplinary teams; and participate in staff development, curriculum development, and other professional opportunities, supervise paraeducators; and perform related work as required. Position requires Bachelor’s degree in Education, or closely-related field. Position also requires a valid MN teaching license in one of the following specialties: Academic and Behavioral Strategist, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Emotional or Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, or Physical and Health Disabilities.
